Stratford-upon-Avon Day Nursery Facilities
The Stratford-upon-Avon Day Nursery is split into three age ranges:
Babies (3months – 2 years)
Our babies benefit from a large, bright, open plan day room, well equipped with a separate dedicated sensory area equipped with the latest equipment to stimulate the babies senses during their formative months. The room is partitioned to enable us to separate specific age ranges when appropriate. We also provide a dedicated sleep room with the temperature constantly monitored to ensure the babies are comfortable at all times. There are never more than three babies to any one member of staff in the baby room, with each baby having their own named key person.
Toddlers (2years – 3years)
The large open plan Toddler rooms also benefit from a number of dedicated areas. The Toddlers have a creative area, a reading corner, circle time and a home corner. The Toddler rooms are fully equipped to encourage the children’s independence, including their own easily accessible children’s toilets. Toddlers benefit from a staffing ratio of one member of staff looking after no more than four children.
Pre-School (3years – 5years)
Pre-School children follow the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ preparing them for their eventual move to school. This is a more settled routine, with children working in small groups. Through our observations of children learning through play, we are able to introduce adult led activities that follow the interest of individual children, linking them to the six areas of learning: physical development, personal, social and emotional development, communication, language and literacy, creative development, knowledge and understanding of the world and problem solving, reasoning and numeracy. The Pre School room is fully equipped. The children have open access to the garden every day (free flow) from their room and complete a lot of their daily activities outside through choice.
1st Floor
As well as dedicated Babies / tweenies, toddlers and pre-school areas, we also offer the benefit of further large open plan room on the first floor. This is an excellent area for dance and movement classes, organised and free play and a real bonus when the weather is a little less inviting. The 1st floor also offers a sensory room, which has many elements to encourage the child’s senses through a soothing and stimulating environment.
Gardens
The garden is well equipped and stimulating, designed to stimulate and promote exploration, social skills and positive self-esteem. The garden features the latest impact resistant soft surfacing to ensure peace of mind when any tumbles occur whilst still retaining a large natural looking lawn area.
Monkey Puzzle at Stratford-upon-Avon Day Nursery is open from 7.30am – 6.00pm (core hours 8.00am – 6.00pm). We support government funding which consists of 15 hours free per week for each child from September 2010 the term after their third birthday. We are also happy to accept funded only places.
